Monster News
TEACUPS - A Reading for Pleasure Acronym
Our experts and games team came up with the acronym TEACUPS to embed the core principles of reading for pleasure in our game 'Teach Your Monster Reading for Fun'. We think these principles are pretty awesome and can inform your Reading for Pleasure practises at home and in the classroom. Read to find out more!
Beyond Numbers to 10 - the Expansion of Number Skills!

Social Stories to help with tricky emotions
Dealing with emotions can be really difficult for children, especially when they don't have the words to express what they're feeling. Social stories can put these abstract emotions into words and pictures, and give kids the strategies they need to start building emotional resilience.
Free Feelings Comic!
Bongo Blows His Top
From the great minds of the Wellbeing team here, comes this incredible social story and comic 'Bongo Blows his Top'. Using modelling, this comic shows us how Bongo can recognise feeling angry and a few strategies to relieve it - why not download and read it with your little ones today! Available in black and white too
If you liked this comic, do let us know which emotion you'd like us to tackle next! Send in your ideas to [email protected] and we'll put this into our next comic strip!
Teacher Feature

To mark the fresh Number Skills updates, we have a brand new Maths Worksheet printable available! Allowing practice of numbers to 20, this fun game can be played alone, in pairs or as a whole class. We are hoping to add a lot more maths resources soon so bookmark this page!
Beans, Beans, Beans...
This song from Quilla is so catchy, your little ones will love it! And its full of protein too...
Turn on the subtitles!
Did you know, when children watch TV with quality subtitles on it can massively help with literacy? Hollywood Legend Jack Black (Jumanji, School of Rock, Tenacious D) has recorded a rather brilliant video about just this topic. Have a watch (and don’t forget to share) www.turnonthesubtitles.org/parents

That's it for this month!
We really hope you've had a great start to your summer term time and that the continuous expansion of our products enrich your home or classroom. If you have any great classroom photos using our games, please send us an email at [email protected] to be featured!
